After the group meets in Santiago we get ready to fly South to the city of Concepcion. Please note we will meet our guests at either the Santiago Marriott Hotel or the Santiago Airport itself. Before arrival all meeting points and times will be carefully arranged and informed.

Right after we land we will start our adventure with a 1-hour 45-minute drive heading east deep into the Chilean Andes. After enjoying the views of the snow capped mountains, forests and streams we arrive at Nevados de Chillan at 1,600 meters (5,248 ft). This world-class still-unknown ski & spa resort will be home for the next three nights.
We will be staying at the deluxe Termas de Chillan Grand Hotel. There will be enough time to ski for a couple of hours before getting ready for a tasty Pisco Sour and a fabulous welcome dinner.
Nevados de Chillan - called Termas de Chillan until 2008 - is perhaps one of the top five ski resorts in all South America. It perfectly combines awesome powder, superb terrain, hot springs and excellent accommodation. But yet it still remains undiscovered by most foreign skiers and riders.

Today we will focus on powder. With lots of steep chutes, wide open bowls and up to 7-mile long cruising groomers there always is new terrain to explore. From the top of the El Fresco and Don Otto lifts the views of the Andes, forests and surrounding volcanoes are just unbeatable. Climbing from the base area to the summit at 2,700 meters (8,200 ft) this resort features 9 lifts with a vertical drop of 1,100 meters (3,608 ft).

After a great day in the mountains it is time to relax. Our hotel offers an in-out hot spring pool, sauna, a full spa and massages. Enjoy après ski and be delighted with the excellent cuisine. A lively pub, a casino and a disco await.
Good morning! We meet for breakfast and then we hit the slopes of Nevados de Chillan and its great powder. Today we will explore the off-piste and backcountry terrain this mountain offers. There are many great options traversing east from the top of the Don Otto chair. From this area we can access the famous Pirigallo Bowl. Keep in mind skiing left from the top of El Fresco chair: The options are endless.

If you want to push your limits excellent hikes are available too. Also if you are in good shape and want to experience an unparalleled descend through untouched powder you can climb up to the summit of the Chillan Volcano. It will take a few hours to reach the top but it is definitely worth the effort. No climbing skills are required. And if you are not looking to hike snowcat skiing will be available too. Do not forget to book your seat in advance. For those looking for a more relaxed pace the resort offers a wide variety of groomed trails including the longest run in South America called Las Tres Marias.

After skiing fun continues. Let’s enjoy dinner at the Termas de Chillan Grand hotel one more night and get ready to party with locals and other skiers and snowboarders from all over the world!
Today we continue our journey flying north to Santiago from where we will start a 2 hour drive first heading north to the city of Los Andes at 822 meters (2,983 ft.). From here this road with amazing vistas of the Andes heads east climbing to Portillo at 2,850 meters (9,350 ft.). Arriving at South America’s best-known ski resort at sunset is simply invigorating. Prepare not only for skiing and riding but for socializing, relaxing and restoring the mind and body in a natural environment nothing less than spectacular.
Once we have checked in we will enjoy our first dinner in the most traditional ski resort in Chile. Great snow, excellent food, lots of fun and camaraderie. Portillo has it all!
After having breakfast we will start exploring some of the best powder in the Southern Hemisphere. Because of the altitude and location the snow here is extremely dry. Since it is surrounded by the high Andes peaks including the Cerro Aconcagua across the Argentinean border - the highest mountain in the continent reaching 6,959 meters - the scenery is spectacular!

We will focus on the famous steeps and chutes of Portillo. Roca Jack and its numerous possibilities traversing south are the choice for locals and experts as well. On the west facing area Condor provides a slightly shorter vertical drop but champagne powder still is there.
Hiking in the chutes above the Condor Va et Vient lifts will give us the chance to experience the lake descends to the frozen surface of the legendary Laguna del Inca.
For those ready for a challenge we have a nice line to explore: Super C couloir. Keep that name in mind.

After an amazing and intense day of deep powder and blue bird skies there is no better option than relaxing and enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the traditional Hotel Portillo. Because dining is almost as important as skiing food here is just unbeatable. Heated outdoor pool, fitness centre, sauna and massage, cyber café, cinema and lots of fun things to do complete the unforgettable Portillo Life.
Yes there are many reasons to enjoy Portillo: the beautiful scenery and the high Andes peaks, some of the best skiing and snowboarding conditions, loads of killer powder, meals, entertainment and an uncommonly warm hospitality. Once we had breakfast we will be ready for another great powder day. With lifts reaching the summit at 3,322 meters (10,899 ft.) there is a vertical drop of 812 meters (2,664ft.). We will continue exploring the chutes, bowls and steeps of Portillo.

If you are looking for more challenging terrain there are many different hikes above the beautiful Laguna del Inca. If you would rather fly than hike heli-skiing is available. Since 2008 Portillo has an A-Star B3 chopper based there. A big thanks to the old Alouette Lama helicopter which took us up many times to some of the finest heli terrain in the area! Thinking about lunch? Tio Bob’s restaurant is the locals´ recommendation. Nestled right above the La Garganta chute it has such unbelievable views of the Andes and the Laguna del Inca that it is usual to spend several hours up there.

At the end of a hard day of skiing and riding we can enjoy the 5 pm traditional tea, hang out in the swimming pool or just relax and take a nap. Along with our stay breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are all included. Nightlife? After dinner have a coffee or enjoy a drink in the living room. Then head to the bar for some live music, have fun at the disco and experience the joy of it all.
Based on weather and road conditions - and on guests preferences as well - we will either ski Portillo for a few more hours or will leave early to Valle Nevado. We have to ride back to Santiago first and then we continue our journey with a 2-hour scenic drive along the Mapocho River heading east deep into the Chilean Andes. After enjoying this breathtaking mountain road views we arrive at Valle Nevado at 3,025 meters (9,860 ft). This world-class resort with the largest skiable area in South America will be home for the next three nights.

Today we will explore the fun slopes of Valle Nevado and its famous powder. Here with the summit elevation at 3,670 meters (12,040 ft.) the quality of snow is simply excellent. After this active day we will enjoy an après ski snack at our cozy slope side hotel. Remember breakfast, an après ski snack and dinner are included with our stay.

Today we ski and ride the pristine powder of Valle Nevado. After an early breakfast we hit the slopes of this major ski resort in Chile. With lifts quickly climbing from the Base Prado at 2,860 meters (9,384 ft.) to Cerro Tres Puntas at 3,670 meters (12,040 ft.) this all above tree line resort offers a variety of runs and fun slopes, wide open bowls, steeps and chutes.

In most of our guided tours our guests decided to go heli-skiing. Reaching the surrounding high peaks of the Andes at 4,300 meters (14,100 ft.) is truly an unforgettable experience. But skiing and riding the Andean deep and untouched powder of the Southern Hemisphere is even better!

After a great day in the mountains it is time to indulge. The hotels here offer a heated pool, sauna, weight room, stretching classes and massages. Enjoy the après ski activities and choose one of the five different restaurants. From Chilean to Italian, American, French and international the cuisine is delicious. After dinner a pub and live music are waiting for you!

Today we explore El Colorado and specially La Parva. This resort is reminiscent of a small village in the European Alps. Even when you won't find as many tourist services as in Valle Nevado La Parva is called the Aspen of Chile.
With a vertical drop of 960 meters (3,150 ft.) this uncrowded resort offers free riding for all levels, long and steep GS-style groomed runs and tons of snow. And for those looking for more challenging terrain you can explore the lift-served off piste with deep powder bowls and cornices or hike to access the thrilling steep chutes of this area such as "La Chimenea" and "La Cara".

La Parva features 75% of sunny days during the winter season. On any of these blue bird sky days you can't miss the views of the Andes and the city of Santiago. Now it is time to go back to our hotel and relax. Once again the tough call is yours. Chilean or International cuisine? Red or white wine? Enjoy!
Good morning! We hit the slopes of Valle Nevado and its great powder one more time. Today we will focus on fun skiing and snowboarding at the largest South American ski resort. Thanks to the lift link between La Parva, El Colorado and Valle Nevado the skiable area here is huge with well over 100 runs and 40 lifts.

As we provide a 3-mountain lift ticket our guests will be welcomed to choose where they want to ski without being limited to one ski area only. After skiing we head down to Santiago for our last night in Chile.
As we have a free morning guests will have the chance to sleep late or walk around the Las Condes area before we drive to one of the most traditional wineries in Chile. Here we will taste the famous Chilean wines and will enjoy a special farewell lunch courtesy of Andes Ski Tours.

In the afternoon we will drive to the airport to catch all international connections. It is here where our guides will say good bye until next year! If you are planning to stay longer in Santiago - or would like to extend your trip to any destination in Chile or Argentina - we will be pleased to assist you with your arrangements.
